Cardano's 11% Rally Leaves Bitcoin and Dogecoin Behind
Cardano (CRYPTO: ADA) has emerged as one of the top performers in the crypto market, defying losses among other large-cap coins. The token rallied nearly 11% over the past seven days, outpacing Bitcoin's stagnation and Dogecoin's sharp decline.
This surge can be attributed to aggressive accumulation by whale investors, according to Ali Martinez, a widely followed cryptocurrency analyst and trader. A Santiment chart posted by Martinez shows that whale-held ADA rose from lower levels around July 29 to a peak of 14.55 billion tokens by July 31.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator flashed a 'Buy' signal for ADA on TradingView, while the Commodity Channel Index signaled a 'Sell'. Open interest in ADA futures contracts surged 26% in a week to $500 million, according to Coinglass.
