Cardano's Accumulation Phase Sets Stage for Potential Price Uptick
Cardano's (ADA) year-to-date price performance shows a significant loss of 44.63% since the bear market began, ranking it among the cryptocurrencies hit hardest by selling pressure.
The Alpha Leverage pressure metric indicates that ADA is in a buying phase, following a deleveraging event where extremely high-leverage positions were flushed out of the market through late 2025 and into this year. This suggests that the market is now trading at a more balanced level, no longer driven by excessive derivatives capital.
The accumulation phase is accompanied by reduced leverage in the derivatives market, with liquidations over the past 24 hours amounting to roughly $1.69 million, a low figure for an asset valued at $6.71 billion. The net flow of capital into the derivatives market has also turned positive, with inflows reaching roughly $1 billion and outflows hitting $973 million over the last seven days.
The liquidation heatmap shows a dense cluster sitting far above the current price, acting as a magnet that could pull the price upward. Currently, the main target for ADA's price rests between $0.25 and $0.28, where the high-density cluster is located.
