Cardano's ADA Token Reaches $0.20 Amid Network Upgrades and Governance Progress
Cardano's ADA token surged by more than 7% over the past 24 hours, reaching around $0.20 and extending its weekly rally. This recovery comes as a result of several network upgrades that have taken place recently.
The activation of the Van Rossem hard fork on July 18 marked the beginning of Cardano's next major protocol phase, known as the Dijkstra era. According to Intersect, this development has renewed attention on the blockchain's long-term roadmap.
The recent rally in ADA is attributed to a combination of factors including network upgrades, governance progress, cross-chain expansion, and improving market sentiment. The Van Rossem hard fork upgraded the network to Version 11, introducing improvements to Plutus smart contract execution, ledger consistency, and node security.
Attention has now shifted towards Dijkstra, which will be introduced through multiple releases rather than a single network upgrade. Intersect confirmed that the roadmap includes Nested Transactions, Linear Leios, and Peras, three technologies developed under the Ouroboros Leios research initiative.
