Cardano's Dijkstra Phase 1 is on track to deploy on mainnet by the end of 2026, according to recent updates. This phase introduces Linear Leios and Nested Transactions to improve scalability and transaction handling. The second phase, set for Q2 2027, will activate Ouroboros Peras, enabling faster settlement through stake pool operator voting.

Development of the Amaru node implementation is also progressing, with a goal of block production by November 2026. This aims to diversify node clients and provide more options for users.

The governance changes required to support Dijkstra parameters are set for submission by September 2026, with community discussions already underway. However, the timeline is ambitious, and testing and governance processes may extend the final activation dates.
