Cardano's Dijkstra Upgrade Sparks Fears of Further Price Pressure
Cardano's native token ADA has slipped further into the red following the network's announcement of its Dijkstra upgrade roadmap.
The two-phase plan, set to run from Q4 2026 through Q2 2027, introduces Ouroboros Linear Leios and Ouroboros Peras, with Phase One bringing in Nested Transactions and Script Context capabilities within PlutusV4.
Large wallet addresses have sold roughly 200 million ADA since mid-August, adding to downward price pressure, while ADA futures market activity reinforced this pessimism, with the long-to-short ratio below the equilibrium mark and funding rates turning negative.
The technical indicators signal oversold conditions, but there is no clear indication of a near-term recovery for ADA until resistance is cleared decisively.
