Cardano's Governance Vote Hits Make-or-Break Deadline

Cardano's vote to fill four constitutional committee seats is in its final week. If it fails, the committee will drop from seven to three members, creating a governance bottleneck. This would prevent the committee from ratifying certain actions, including motions of no confidence.

The current support for the proposal stands at 41.7% among delegated representatives and 12.0% among stake pool operators. To pass, they need to reach 67% and 51%, respectively. The deadline is September 1st, epoch 653.

While the number of supporters has increased since August 17th, there are still significant gaps to close. The deficit for delegated representatives stands at 25.3 percentage points, while stake pool operators need a 39.0 point increase.
