Cardano's Network Activity Plummets as Price Drops Below Key Support
The Cardano price has been under pressure in recent days, dropping by 3.10% to $0.196. This decline is not surprising given the overall weakness of the altcoin market, with the Altcoin Season Index falling to 29, far below the 75 mark that would indicate a strong performance from alternative coins.
The Cardano price has also fallen below several short-term moving averages, and selling volume has increased by 111%, putting additional pressure on the $0.190 support zone. If this level is broken, the next key area to watch will be the Fibonacci level around $0.187.
A more significant concern for Cardano is its network activity, which has been in decline. According to data shared by Joao Wedson, the number of active addresses on the Cardano network has dropped significantly since its peak in November 2021, with a current count of approximately 189,900, compared to around 3.6 million at its peak.
This decline in network activity is a major red flag for Cardano, as it suggests that fewer people are interacting with the network and using its services. This lack of adoption and usage can have a negative impact on the price of ADA, making it harder for the coin to recover from current lows.
