Cardano's Price Rally Accelerates Amid Whales' Accumulation and Regulatory Milestones
Cardano's ADA token is experiencing a significant price rally, outperforming major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). According to CoinGecko data, ADA's price has risen by 7.1% in the last 24 hours, 19.3% in the last week, 20.9% in the 14-day charts, and 18.6% over the previous month.
The uptick can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, Cardano's Chain has arrived in DeFi Wallet, a development that may have sparked interest among investors. Secondly, whales have been accumulating ADA in the last few days, with Santiment data showing inflows of 240 million coins into large whale wallets.
The accumulation of ADA by whales often leads to price movements, and smaller investors may be following suit. Additionally, Cardano is set to complete its 75-day period for regulated futures trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) on August 9, 2026, which could pave the way for a Cardano ETF.
The Cardano community has also voted in favor of a roadmap that would allow the ADA blockchain to fund core development directly from its treasury. This move marks a significant shift towards decentralization and may contribute to the token's price surge.
