Cardano's Supply Chain Verification System Takes Off with 500,000 Records Anchored
Cardano has partnered with Blockforce to develop a supply chain verification system for Brazilian exporters. This innovative platform, built on top of Cardano's blockchain network, helps exporters comply with European regulations by providing documentary proof that their products are not linked to deforestation.
The system uses a dual-ledger architecture, combining Hyperledger Fabric and Cardano blockchain, to protect sensitive business data while enabling EU audit verification. This approach ensures that proprietary information remains private while still allowing for independent verification of compliance records.
So far, the platform has anchored over 500,000 supply chain records on the Cardano network, with Azzas 2154, Latin America's largest fashion conglomerate, tracing its leather supply chain across more than 6,200 suppliers. The system has also processed over 95,000 invoices in production, demonstrating its ability to handle large-scale commercial activity.
The partnership between Cardano and Blockforce is a significant step forward for enterprise blockchain adoption, as it provides a scalable and cost-efficient solution for supply chain verification. With a contracted volume of 6.5 million records by 2030, the platform is poised to expand into automotive and pharmaceutical supply chains, further solidifying its position in the industry.
