Carlasare: Bitcoin Price Floor Rising to $100K as Sellers Disappear
Bitcoin's recent dip below $60,000 was brief, lasting only about 72 hours, according to Joe Carlasare, a commercial litigator and Bitcoin advocate. He attributes this rapid rebound to a shrinking pool of sellers willing to part with coins at depressed prices.
The dynamic has pushed Bitcoin's effective price floor progressively higher, says Carlasare, who predicts that investors will soon find it increasingly difficult to sell below $100,000. Once this psychological level becomes firmly established as a floor, he notes that every multiple above it, including $200,000 and $500,000, starts to look comparatively cheap.
Carlasare connects the muted pullback to the idea that Bitcoin never became 'unreasonably stretched' during the recent run-up. He uses a rubber band analogy to explain that markets which avoid extreme overextension tend to snap back with less force on the way down, and believes this is why this drawdown was comparatively shallow.
While Carlasare sees potential for long-term growth towards $100,000 and beyond, he warns against euphoric rallies that could trigger sharp snapbacks once buyers are exhausted and profit-taking accelerates. He personally prefers slow, steady growth over explosive rallies.
