Carter Rejects Trump-Linked Crypto Project Over Lack of Real Product

Share

Nic Carter, a prominent crypto venture capitalist, turned down an advisory role with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a project linked to the Trump family, due to concerns over the co-founder's lack of basic crypto knowledge and the project's limited product offerings beyond token sales. WLFI was launched as a decentralized finance platform with a governance token and stablecoin, with the Trump family set to receive 75% of net token sale proceeds.

Despite Carter's initial skepticism, WLFI's stablecoin has grown significantly, circulating over $3 billion and positioning it as a notable player in the stablecoin market. However, investors are advised to exercise caution as the token trades publicly, and the project's future depends on the planned rollout of its debit card and other products scheduled for 2026.
