Cash App Expands Crypto Offerings with MoonPay Integration
Cash App is expanding its cryptocurrency offerings to include Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Tether (USDT) for U.S. users, in addition to Bitcoin and USDC.
The integration with MoonPay allows users to fund purchases using their Cash App balances and transfer holdings to external wallets, including Ledger, BitPay, Trust Wallet, MetaMask, and Uniswap.
This move marks a significant expansion of Cash App's digital asset services, reflecting broader market trends towards mainstream adoption and increased acceptance of multi-asset crypto services among traditional fintech platforms.
Regulatory considerations remain a factor, particularly for XRP which has faced legal scrutiny in the U.S., but the inclusion of these assets may increase liquidity and accessibility for users.
