Cash App has integrated its payment system, Cash App Pay, with MoonPay, allowing users to buy cryptocurrencies like Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP), and Tether (USDT) without switching apps. The move gives the 59 million active users of Cash App access to a broader range of digital assets.

The integration is significant because it allows users to purchase these assets using their existing Cash App balance, making it easier for them to enter the cryptocurrency market. Morgan Kuntze, Block's global partnerships lead, stated that the company wants to provide customers with 'choice and flexibility however they choose to pay,' while keeping Bitcoin (BTC) at the center of its digital asset strategy.

MoonPay has been expanding rapidly in 2026, acquiring several companies, including Sodot and DFlow, and launching new services like PayBox. Ivan Soto-Wright, co-founder and CEO of MoonPay, said that their goal is to let users 'access the digital asset ecosystem, funded instantly from an app they already know and trust.'
