Casper's AstralBeam Cross-Chain Bridge Connects Regulated Assets Across Networks
AstralBeam, a cross-chain bridge developed by MAKE Group, has launched on Casper, enabling users to move real-world assets between various blockchain networks. This development comes as tokenized securities continue to grow in popularity, with over $32 billion in assets already tokenized under the ERC-3643 standard.
The launch of AstralBeam marks a significant step towards interoperability between regulated asset networks. The bridge connects users on Casper with those on Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum, and Polygon, allowing for seamless movement of assets across these platforms.
AstralBeam's integration with the T-REX Network is also noteworthy, as it aligns with the network's interoperability standard, ERC-7786. This will enable future connectivity between Casper and T-REX, including potential distribution of regulated assets through T-REX Lite deployments on Casper.
Casper itself has been designed to support regulated tokenized securities, with native support for the ERC-3643 compliance standard. The network's smart contracts are upgradeable, allowing tokenized assets to adapt as regulation evolves. Transactions on Casper also reach true finality in seconds, providing certainty and security for users.
The MAKE Group has emphasized the importance of maintaining regulatory compliance when moving assets between networks. AstralBeam addresses this challenge by incorporating a cross-chain messaging layer that ensures assets remain compliant wherever they are transferred.
