A surge in cat-themed tokens has swept through various cryptocurrency chains, capturing the attention of traders and investors. The phenomenon, dubbed 'cat season,' began earlier this year when a token called Cat in a Dog's World crossed a nine-figure valuation within days of launching.

Fast-forward to August 23, 2026, when DexScreener revealed that 72 cat-named tokens with pools under 60 hours old were active across Solana, BNB Chain, Base, and Robinhood Chain. Of these, 40 shared the same name, with 36 trading below $1,000 within a 24-hour period.

Two tokens in particular stood out: Cets On Gold (CETS) on BNB Chain and Thinking Cat (HMM) on Robinhood Chain. While they were not launched into this rotation, they have already gained significant traction, with CETS trading at $0.02362589 and HMM at $0.01252685.

However, not all cat-themed tokens are created equal. Cat Season Club (CATLIST) on Solana, which launched into the rotation, boasts an impressive 6.14 turns of its entire float in a single day, with a market capitalization of $805,577 and 82,372 transactions.
