Cathie Wood Defends Circle Investment Despite Analyst Skepticism
Cathie Wood's ARK Invest has been buying Circle (CRCL) despite its stock price falling by 42% in a year. In a recent tweet, Wood argued that Wall Street analysts who have built their careers on Visa and Mastercard cannot understand the company.
Circle issues USDC, a digital dollar backed by cash and short-term US government debt. ARK Invest's flagship fund now holds 3,931,968 Circle shares, worth $329 million and 5.14% of the portfolio.
Circle has gained 184% since its IPO in June 2025, not 84% as Wood initially stated. Analysts covering the company have a wide range of price targets, from $37 to $173, with an average target of $98.61.
