Cboe Files for Triple-Leveraged Bitcoin and Ether ETFs
Cboe BZX Exchange has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list the first triple-leveraged Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US. The proposal, submitted on August 10 and published on August 14, aims to deliver three times the daily returns using CME futures contracts.
The move marks a potential milestone for leveraged crypto products on a major US exchange. However, approval by the SEC is still pending, with the funds expected to operate under Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulation as commodity pools rather than traditional fund rules.
