Cboe Files to List Triple-Leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs
Cboe's proposed listing rule change has sparked interest in the crypto market as it seeks to list Volatility Shares' 3x Bitcoin and Ether ETFs. The funds would target three times the daily performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum, using CME futures for their tracking.
This move comes at a time when institutional demand across the crypto market has weakened, leaving investors hesitant and exchange-traded fund flows under pressure. Despite this, more ETF products are preparing to enter the market.
The proposed lineup also includes 3x leveraged commodity-based funds for gold, silver, and crude oil. If approved, the crypto funds could become America's first triple-leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
