Cboe Seeks Approval for Trio-Plus Bitcoin, Ether ETFs

Cboe Global Markets has filed a proposed rule change with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to list six new exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These ETFs are designed to deliver three times the daily return of major assets, including Bitcoin and Ether.

The lineup also includes gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas. The Bitcoin and Ether ETFs will invest primarily in futures traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, aiming to generate returns equal to three times a single day's price move.

This means that if Bitcoin rises 1% in a day, the structure would target a gain of about 3%. Cboe BZX Exchange filed the proposed rule change on August 15, but no timeline has been set for when these ETFs might become available to investors.
