Cboe Seeks SEC Nod for Pioneering 3x BTC and ETH ETFs

Cboe BZX Exchange has filed a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list the first Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) triple-leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The proposed ETFs, which would track 3x BTC and ETH futures contracts, are set to be listed on the BZX Exchange under the ticker symbols CBBE and CEWE.

This move marks a significant step towards bringing triple-leveraged crypto products to US investors. However, it remains to be seen whether the SEC will approve these applications, given the regulator's cautious stance on leveraged ETFs in general.
