CENTCOM Warns IRGC: Targeting US Ships May Spark Oil Fleet Strikes
Admiral Brad Cooper of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a stern warning to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) over potential escalations in maritime conflicts between the two nations. The admiral stated that if Iranian forces target American ships, the US may impose an even higher economic cost by taking out three of Iran's oil fleet ships.
This warning comes amid a tense standoff in the Strait of Hormuz, where the US has been enforcing a naval blockade on Iranian ports. The development reflects heightened tensions between the two nations and may indicate a reduced likelihood of diplomatic resolutions.
According to market pricing, there is currently a decrease in the probability of a U.S.-Iran deal incorporating reconstruction funding, with odds moving lower recently.
