CFTC Preps Crypto Rule Proposals Regardless of Clarity Bill
U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig has stated that his agency is prepared to implement rule proposals for crypto markets, regardless of whether Congress passes its Clarity Act.
Selig made this announcement on Tuesday, indicating that the CFTC has 'rule proposals ready to go' if the bill succeeds.
The Clarity Act aims to provide clarity and regulatory certainty in the crypto market. However, Selig's comments suggest that the agency will proceed with its rulemakings even if the bill stalls.
