Chainalysis Challenges $94.66M Blockchain Analytics Contract Award to TRM Labs

Chainalysis Government Solutions has expanded its legal challenge against a $94.66 million blockchain analytics contract awarded to TRM Labs by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The company filed seven claims, challenging ICE's evaluation of the requirements, sole-source procurement authority, and restrictive criteria.

Chainalysis alleges that ICE relied on undisclosed criteria that matched TRM's existing products, which were not fully disclosed in the final needs statement. The company also argues that its capability statement addressed every requirement in ICE's final Statement of Need.

The contract supports a growing federal reliance on private blockchain-intelligence providers and will run through June 30, 2027.
