Chainalysis Sues Over $95M ICE Contract Awarded to Rival TRM Labs
Blockchain analytics company Chainalysis has filed a lawsuit against the US government over an ICE contract worth around $94.6 million awarded to competitor TRM Labs.
The one-year contract, which runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, covers forensic software and support services for Homeland Security Task Force investigations.
Chainalysis alleged that ICE's decision was 'arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable,' stating it had submitted a capability statement in response to ICE's notice of intent to obtain forensic software and support services from TRM Labs.
Both companies provide blockchain analytics tools used by government agencies to trace cryptocurrency transactions and investigate crime.
