Chainalysis Sues US Government Over $94.6M Crypto Contract Awarded to Rival TRM Labs

Share

Chainalysis has filed a lawsuit against the US government over a $94.6 million contract awarded to rival TRM Labs for forensic software and support in crypto investigations.

The contract, worth $94,655,840, was awarded by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on July 2, 2026, and covers work involving crypto tracing, blockchain analysis, cybercrime, and scam investigations.

Chainalysis claims that the decision to award the contract to TRM Labs without a regular bidding process was improper and that other qualified firms should have been given a chance to compete for the contract.
