Chainalysis Targets Crypto-Linked Child Abuse Material in Operation Lighthouse

Chainalysis has launched Operation Lighthouse, an initiative aimed at combating the use of cryptocurrencies in child sexual abuse material (CSAM) cases.

The operation is a joint effort between Chainalysis and law enforcement agencies to track down and prosecute individuals who use cryptocurrencies to facilitate CSAM transactions.

According to Chainalysis, this is the first time that law enforcement agencies have worked together with cryptocurrency companies to specifically target CSAM-related activity in the crypto ecosystem.

The operation will focus on identifying and disrupting cryptocurrency-based networks used for CSAM, as well as collaborating with law enforcement agencies to prosecute perpetrators.
