Chainflip Suffers $736,442.17 USDT Loss in TRON Exploit
Chainflip, a cross-chain protocol, has suffered a significant security breach resulting in the loss of $736,442.17 worth of Tether (USDT) on the TRON network.
The attack occurred on September 12 and was detected by Chainflip's developers after they observed unusual transaction activity.
An attacker exploited a weakness in Chainflip's handling of TRON transaction memos, causing the protocol to process duplicate payments for six transactions.
Chainflip has confirmed that no other funds were affected, but one legitimate user swap worth $115,654.41 remains unpaid due to the network pause.
