Chainflip's Tron Rail Halted After $736K USDT Heist

A major security incident occurred on Chainflip's Tron rail on September 12, 2026, when an attacker drained 736,442.17 USDT from the protocol.

The attack lasted for approximately 90 minutes and involved eight attempts, with six successful payouts that doubled in amount each time.

Chainflip has since halted network operations and switched off trading, deposits, withdrawals, and liquidity provider functions on Tron to prevent further exploitation.

However, the blockchain itself remains operational, producing new blocks at a rate of approximately six seconds per block.

Affected users can check their swaps by looking up the swap ID in Chainflip's block explorer and verifying the status of outgoing transactions on the source chain.
