Chainlink Alum Taylor Lindman Joins SEC's Crypto Task Force
Chainlink Labs' Taylor Lindman has left his position as deputy general counsel to join the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Crypto Task Force, where he will serve as chief counsel. This move comes after Michael Selig departed the role in December 2025 to become chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
The SEC's Crypto Task Force was established in March 2025 under Commissioner Hester Peirce, who leads the group. Lindman brings over a decade of legal experience to the task force, having previously worked at Perkins Coie and Debevoise & Plimpton.
Lindman spent five years at Chainlink Labs, where he ensured compliance with U.S. and international regulations. He was also part of a delegation that met directly with the Crypto Task Force in March 2025 to discuss crypto regulation, including token taxonomy and securities record-keeping requirements.
