Chainlink and Bottomline have teamed up to integrate blockchain technology into a network that serves over 600 banks, processing $16 trillion annually. This partnership allows banks to use familiar SWIFT messaging standards while settling payments on blockchain, reducing cross-border transaction times and costs.

The integration uses Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Runtime Environment to connect traditional finance with multiple blockchain networks. By making blockchain settlement seamless for banks, the success of this initiative could accelerate the adoption of tokenized finance, which is projected to reach $16 trillion by 2030.
