Chainlink Bets AI Will Spark Proliferation of New Blockchain Networks
Chainlink's Andrew McCormick believes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will significantly reduce the cost of launching new blockchain networks. This, in turn, will lead to a proliferation of blockchain chains emerging.
The growth of these new blockchains will heighten the need for interoperability solutions like Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which enables secure token transfers across different blockchains without central intermediaries.
McCormick notes that institutional players such as banks and asset managers require this to avoid liquidity fragmentation and regulatory risks when dealing with tokenized assets. Chainlink is already collaborating with major financial institutions like DTCC and J.P. Morgan, with McCormick focused on expanding these partnerships and educating the market on blockchain's benefits.
