Chainlink Bolsters Reserves with $1.13M LINK Buyback
Chainlink, the decentralized oracle network, has strengthened its reserve position by purchasing $1.13 million worth of its native LINK token. The tokens were acquired through multiple swaps on the decentralized exchange COW and consolidated into a single address before being transferred to Chainlink's reserve wallet.
The buyback reflects an ongoing treasury management strategy, where the network repurchases its own tokens to support token value or allocate funds for future ecosystem development. This move is part of a broader trend in crypto projects using treasury reserves to repurchase tokens, often seen as a signal of confidence in the project's long-term prospects.
The average purchase price for the accumulated tokens stands at $11.19 per LINK. Chainlink's reserves have increased to 5.35 million LINK, valued at roughly $43.9 million. The move underscores the network's financial discipline and long-term focus.
