Chainlink Breaks Out Above $12 Resistance
Chainlink's price has surged by nearly 8% after breaking above a multi-month resistance structure, putting the $12 level back in play. This move coincides with a broader recovery across the crypto market and is also driven by increasing institutional demand for Chainlink.
The spot LINK ETFs have recorded consecutive net inflow sessions, with recent data showing cumulative net inflows moving higher as institutional exposure to LINK expands. In August, Bitwise's Chainlink ETF recorded fresh purchases while total ETF holdings continued to build.
As a result of this growing demand, the market now has a stronger basis for extending the rally. However, it is essential to note that ETF demand does not automatically translate into a straight-line price advance. Sustained purchases create an additional pool of spot demand alongside exchange and derivatives activity.
The breakout zone has changed with LINK's latest price action, pushing through the descending trendline and the $11-$12 horizontal resistance zone. This is accompanied by a noticeable expansion in volume, providing confirmation that the market has broken the ceiling.
With this development, the levels for LINK are now straightforward: $11-$12 as immediate support, $14 as next upside resistance, and $16 as the major supply zone and primary bullish target. A pullback into $11-$12 would not necessarily invalidate the move, but a sharp rejection followed by sustained movement below $10 would weaken the breakout thesis.
