Chainlink Brings Official US Economic Data to Ten Blockchains
Chainlink's data feeds are bringing official US economic figures to ten public blockchains. Starting in August 2025, Chainlink partnered with the US Department of Commerce to provide three key measures: real GDP, Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and real final sales to private domestic purchasers.
The data feeds come from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), which publishes closely watched economic reports. Chainlink's role is to deliver these figures in a format that blockchain-based services can read and use automatically.
Developers could use this information to create financial products with terms that change in response to changes in inflation or economic growth, such as prediction markets for GDP growth or inflation. However, no confirmed deployments have been announced.
