Chainlink Enables Tokenized Stocks as Collateral Across Base DeFi
Chainlink has partnered with Coinbase to enable tokenized stocks as collateral on Base DeFi protocols. This integration allows lending, borrowing, and other financial applications to access reliable price data for tokenized equities.
The Coinbase Tokenized Stocks will be represented as B20 tokens on Base, giving users exposure to major U.S. equities such as NVDAc, METAc, AAPLc, and GOOGLc. Chainlink's Data Feeds provide the necessary pricing infrastructure for DeFi protocols to integrate tokenized stocks as collateral.
This development expands the use case for Coinbase Tokenized Stocks beyond trading and holding. With Chainlink's data feeds, lending markets can accept supported stocks as collateral, while decentralized exchanges and structured products can utilize the same pricing infrastructure.
