Chainlink Labs Taps Experienced Regulatory Expert for Head of Legal Role

Chainlink Labs has bolstered its legal team with the appointment of Katherine Kirkpatrick Bos as Head of Legal. With a background in both CeFi and DeFi, Bos brings extensive experience to her new role. Most recently, she served as General Counsel at StarkWare, where she was responsible for navigating the regulatory landscape surrounding Ethereum scalability solutions.

Bos's career has also included stints as Chief Legal Officer at Cboe Digital and General Counsel at Maple Finance, a decentralized lending protocol. Her hiring is seen as a significant move by Chainlink Labs, which has been aggressively pursuing institutional collaborations in onchain finance.

The company has worked with major financial institutions on cross-chain interoperability and tokenized asset projects, highlighting the need for robust legal expertise. With multiple open positions within its legal and compliance departments, Chainlink Labs is building out a team capable of handling the growing demands of operating at the intersection of DeFi protocols and traditional financial regulation.
