Chainlink's (LINK) price surged by 6.8% in the last 24 hours, reaching $11.88 on September 4. This comes after Bottomline Technologies announced a partnership with Chainlink to utilize its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).

Bottomline, which provides payment solutions to over 1 million financial institutions and enterprises across 92 countries, claims that around 15% of international cross-border transactions on Swift are processed through its platform. This translates to handling over $16 trillion in payments annually.

The partnership aims to integrate blockchain settlement as an alternative destination for cross-border payment instructions, leveraging Chainlink's CCIP. Bottomline has already connected with 10 million payments and transactions every day and is ranked as one of the world's three largest Swift service bureaus.
