Chainlink Price Forecast Boosted by Booming Tokenized RWA Market
Standard Chartered's research suggests that Chainlink (LINK) may see significant growth in the coming years. According to Geoff Kendrick, global head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered, tokenized real-world assets (RWA) will reach $4 trillion by the end of 2028. This surge in demand for RWA is expected to increase the need for external data on-chain, which could lead to a substantial increase in Chainlink's fee generation and drive up the price of its LINK token.
Kendrick forecasts that the LINK token may see a 25-fold increase by the end of 2030, reaching $200 from its current price of $8. This prediction is based on the growing demand for tokenized assets, which are expected to reach $2.7 trillion by the end of 2030.
Chainlink's role as the leading decentralized oracle provider for cross-chain communication has positioned it well to capitalize on this growth. Kendrick notes that potential risks to his forecast include slower-than-expected institutional tokenization initiatives and competition from specialist oracle providers.
