Chainlink Price Prediction: Descending Triangle Breakout Could Spark Rally
Chainlink (LINK) has been around since 2017 and has managed to stick around through multiple market cycles due to its infrastructure role in providing oracle networks that allow blockchains to access real-world data.
The current price of LINK is $8.19, which is comfortably within its recent weekly range. The market capitalization stands at $6.129B, while the fully diluted valuation (FDV) sits higher at $8.193B. The 24-hour trading volume is $137.892M, and Total Value Locked (TVL) across Chainlink's oracle infrastructure stands at $1.822B.
The technical analysis suggests that LINK is forming a descending triangle on the 4H chart, with a flat support band near $8.00 to $8.05 holding firm underneath. If price clears the descending trendline near $8.40, it could lead to a run toward $8.513, with $8.915 as the extended target if volume follows through.
However, if buyers show up and defend $7.799 on a retest, that would be a sign this triangle was a pause in the uptrend, not the start of a reversal. The alternative reading is less forgiving: a confirmed break of $7.799 support would point toward $7.548 next.
