Chainlink Sees Record-Breaking Token Outflow Amid Growing Institutional Adoption

Instruments
BTC LINK

Chainlink's LINK token experienced a significant outflow of 1.26 million tokens from centralized exchanges, marking the largest daily withdrawal since June 29. This reduction in exchange liquidity suggests that market participants are accumulating and holding onto their assets, rather than selling immediately.

Institutional adoption is growing, with notable developments including DTCC processing tokenized security trades via Chainlink and BitGo migrating $7.7 billion in Wrapped Bitcoin infrastructure to Chainlink's CCIP network. The CCIP transfer volume surged 353% year-over-year to $4.9 billion in Q2 2026.

LINK staking remains near full capacity at 40.875 million tokens, indicating that holders are committed to supporting the protocol and contributing to its growth. These trends point to expanding real-world use and long-term holding of Chainlink's LINK token, potentially boosting its role in crypto and traditional finance infrastructure.
