Chainlink Sees Strong Accumulation as Exchange Supply Drops and Institutional Use Grows
Chainlink's LINK token has seen significant accumulation in recent times, driven by institutional adoption and reduced exchange supply. Data shows that there was a substantial outflow of 1.26 million tokens from centralized exchanges, the largest since June 29, which has eased selling pressure.
Institutional use of Chainlink is on the rise, with notable developments including DTCC's tokenized security trades with Chainlink and BitGo migrating $7.7 billion in Wrapped Bitcoin infrastructure to Chainlink's CCIP network. The CCIP's transfer volume grew 353% year-over-year in Q2 2026, indicating robust ecosystem engagement.
Chainlink Labs has also hired Katherine Kirkpatrick Bos as its new Head of Legal, bringing extensive experience from both centralized finance (CeFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). This move is expected to boost Chainlink's legal expertise, particularly in DeFi and CeFi.
