Chainlink Shines as DeFi Powerhouse, Surges Past $11
Chainlink's price has surged past $11, driven by its growing presence in the decentralized finance (DeFi) market. The oracle network is now powering about 70% of the global DeFi market, including major protocols like Aave and Compound.
The rally is also attributed to strong buying interest and short liquidations, which have increased open interest in LINK derivatives from $400 million in July to nearly $700 million in August. This sudden influx of capital has propelled Chainlink's price above previous resistance levels at $8.10 and $9.35.
While some traders are watching to see if Chainlink can hold above $11, others are optimistic about the cryptocurrency's prospects, given its growing utility and adoption across various blockchain networks.
