Chainlink Soars 22% as AI Platform Gains Traction with Big Players
Chainlink's native token LINK is on the rise, up 22.05% in just seven days and reaching $11.45 on TradingView. The surge in price follows a series of positive developments for the project, including hearings before a CFTC advisory committee and the commercial rollout of its new AI platform.
According to Chainlink's communications director Chris Barrett, 'You can't spell Chainlink without AI.' This play on words refers to the project's infrastructure expansion into the autonomous machine sector. The company is targeting practical demand by addressing a key issue: AI systems and robots operating 24/7 cannot rely on traditional banking due to its delays and limited hours.
Launched in mid-August, Chainlink for Agents addresses this problem by serving as a verified data layer for AI agents settling transactions in stablecoins through the CCIP protocol. The speed of commercial adoption is impressive, with Robinhood and BitGo already integrating the AI layer.
