Chainlink Soars as Partnership with Bottomline Takes Off
Chainlink's native token, $LINK, has seen significant growth over the past 24 hours, rising to its highest price since January 18 at $13.64.
This surge comes after a deal was announced between Chainlink and Bottomline, a top-three SWIFT services provider that processes more than $16 trillion in payments annually.
The partnership will connect Bottomline's existing systems to public and private blockchains through Chainlink's infrastructure, allowing banks to move tokenized value across blockchains without needing new infrastructure.
Chainlink's CCIP has been live since July 2023 and now spans over 60 blockchains, while its CRE coordinates payment workflows end-to-end, handling routing and confirmations. Banks will continue to send standard ISO 20022 messages, with Chainlink acting as the connector underneath.
BTC, on the other hand, has seen a more subdued performance, trading below $80,000 after a stellar August rally that brought investors gains of over 20% in the last 30 days.
