Chainlink Soars to New Heights Amid Growing Institutional Adoption
Chainlink (LINK) has reached its highest price since January 18, 2026, hitting $13.64 on September 7. The token has seen a significant gain of 94% since June 22, driven by growing adoption across institutional finance.
One key factor contributing to this growth is the increasing use of Chainlink's decentralized finance (DeFi) platform. DeFi TVL rose from $33.98 billion on August 7 to $40.02 billion in just one month, according to DeFiLlama.
The network has also partnered with various institutions, including Bottomline and BitGo, to bring its CCIP and CRE tools to more than 600 banks for cross-border payments. Wyoming's Stable Token Commission adopted Chainlink's Proof of Reserve, adding another institutional use case to the network's growing list.
However, some analysts are cautious about potential selling pressure due to whale activity. One large address sent 2.41 million LINK, worth around $26 million, to Coinbase over three weeks.
