Chainlink Stuck in Neutral Amid Bullish Report from Standard Chartered
Chainlink's price has been stuck in a narrow range since late July, making it difficult for buyers to gain momentum. The cryptocurrency is currently trading at $8.25, caught between two technical clusters on the daily chart. A convincing break above or below this range could signal whether buyers or sellers are in control.
Standard Chartered recently initiated coverage of Chainlink with a $200 price target for 2030 and a nearer target of $13 by the end of 2026. The bank's report highlighted Chainlink's position as a major player in the oracle-dependent DeFi market, securing over $110 billion in value and accounting for approximately 70% of oracle-dependent DeFi globally.
However, the market response to the report was minimal, with LINK trading around $8.22 to $8.26 after the news broke. This lackluster reaction is notable, especially considering that buyers were trying to challenge the upper edge of the range at the time.
