Chainlink Token Surges on Growing Partnerships and Government Deals
Chainlink's LINK token has surged nearly 50% in the past month, pushing its price above $12. This growth coincides with a broader crypto recovery and is driven by several significant developments involving Chainlink's infrastructure.
The latest rally brought LINK's market capitalization to around $9 billion, placing it among the largest crypto assets by market value. The token gained about 8% in 24 hours on September 4, further fueling its upward momentum.
One key factor contributing to Chainlink's growth is its expanding partnership with financial institutions and government entities. For instance, Bottomline, a major provider of payment technology used by hundreds of banks, has entered into a strategic partnership with Chainlink. This integration will enable the secure connection of existing payment systems with public and private blockchains.
Chainlink's infrastructure is also being utilized by the U.S. Department of Commerce to make selected economic data available on-chain. This initiative includes real gross domestic product, personal consumption expenditures price index, and actual final sales to domestic private domestic buyers. The integration of government data onto Chainlink's blockchain could create new use cases for decentralized data delivery.
