Chainlink's CCIP Soars Past $7B as Security Concerns Drive Interoperability Shift
Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) recorded significant growth in Q2, attracting over $7 billion in token value migrations. This represents a 353% year-over-year increase in quarterly volume, reaching $4.90 billion.
The CCIP surge is largely driven by security concerns, with several major projects migrating away from legacy bridge infrastructure. Kraken, Mantle, KelpDAO, and Lombard Finance shifted significant assets to CCIP, totaling over $5.5 billion in value.
Chainlink's total value secured reached $110 billion, while the company's institutional initiatives connected interoperability with traditional finance globally.
