Chainlink's Privacy Tech Powers Space and Time's Private Collateral Verification
Space and Time has integrated Chainlink's privacy technology into its Virtual Vaults platform, aiming to let lenders verify collateral conditions without requiring direct access to borrowers' underlying positions or private API credentials.
The system is designed for institutional borrowers whose assets may be spread across crypto exchanges, prime brokers, and private financial systems. Rather than moving that information onto a public blockchain, the architecture allows specific lending conditions to be checked against private data and produces a verifiable result that can be used onchain.
Chainlink Confidential HTTP processes private API requests inside a trusted execution environment (TEE). The system can then process a predefined query against the private data. For example, a lending agreement could require a borrower to maintain a minimum collateral ratio, without revealing the borrower's complete portfolio.
