Chainlink's Strategic Reserves Swell to $5.7 Million Amid Ongoing Price Slump
Chainlink's strategic reserves have reached $5.7 million in value following the addition of 706,809 LINK tokens in July. The protocol has been accumulating these tokens as part of its investment portfolio strategy to promote long-term growth and sustainability.
The Chainlink Reserve was launched on August 7, 2025, using off-chain business profits and on-chain protocol revenues to buy LINK tokens. This approach aims to drain the circulating supply and support the network's development over time.
Since its inception, the reserve has accumulated a total of 1.77 million LINK tokens, with the latest injection bringing this number up to 5.21 million. However, despite the growing reserves, the price of LINK remains stagnant at $8.08, down 84.4% from its ATH.
Analysts suggest that long-term token locking in the reserve will eventually drive a price rise, bolstered by supply reduction and market demand. However, this process is being hindered by weak demand in the broader crypto market due to macroeconomic conditions.
